MIDJersey Chamber and Princeton Regional Chamber Merge

by Community Contributor

After weeks of speculation and years of discussion, John Goedecke, Chairman of the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Jeannine Cimino, Chairperson of the MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce, announced last week that their two respective chambers have agreed to consolidate. The announcement was made immediately following the Chamber’s Mercer Country Industry Update at the Mercer Oaks County Club in Princeton Junction.

“We are thrilled that the MIDJersey Chamber is now part of the Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber,” said Peter Crowley, President and CEO of the newly established Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber. “We recognize the significant and powerful impact this consolidation will have on our region, creating one unified voice and fiscally strong business organization promoting the interests of all companies, of all sizes, in Central New Jersey.”

John Goedecke will continue as the Chairman of the Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce until his term expires in December 2019. Chairperson-Elect Brenda Ross-Dulan will assume the Chairperson’s responsibilities in January 2020. Bill Rue and Jeannine Cimino are now Vice-Chairpersons of the new organization.

The new Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber will serve more than 1,600 companies, with approximately 10,000 individual member contacts and member firms that employ a network of over 350,000 employees in our state. It will continue to coordinate more than 115 targeted workshop-style programs a year, including networking and educational events, with many designed for specific industry segments highlighting: Independent Businesses, Women in Business, Real Estate, Nonprofits, Young Professionals, International & Global Business, Travel and Tourism, Economic Development, Technology, Diversity & Inclusion, and our newest business, the New Jersey Entrepreneurial Network.

“This historic combination brings together two organizations that share a rich history serving the business community of Central New Jersey,” added John Goedecke. “The consolidation brings unparalleled business support, increased visibility and robust networking opportunities to our members and partners, as well as significant time and cost savings to the many companies in the region who were members of both chambers.”

The Chamber, whose headquarters will be Princeton, New Jersey, will serve clients from the surrounding counties as well as Mercer County, including Monmouth, Burlington, Somerset, Middlesex, Hunterdon and Bucks County in PA. Its leadership will continue its outreach to regional chamber partners in Central New Jersey, striving to develop better ways to work together supporting the Central New Jersey Region.

“We congratulate the leadership of the new Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber,” says Michele Siekerka, President and CEO of the New Jersey Business & Industry Association. “This is an exciting day for the business community in the greater Mercer County region, which only stands to benefit from this new collective voice and vision. We look forward to working with this dynamic group to mutually promote an environment for business growth in the region and across the state.”
