(Photos) Letter to the Editor: Many Hands Make 2015 Reindeer Lane a Big Success

by Community Contributor

The Hopewell train station was transformed into a holiday wonderland last Friday, December 4th, as the Reindeer Lane Gift Shop returned to town!  From festive decorations to refreshments for parents, live holiday music and the special arrival of Santa on an old-fashioned fire truck, a great time was had by all.  This event would not have been possible without the help of dozens of community volunteers and many local businesses. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped to decorate the train station, set up merchandise, run the shop and clean up, as well as those Reindeer Helpers who helped the children select just the right gifts for their family members. A huge thank you to the Borough public works crew and Recreation Committee for their assistance with the planning and logistics.

And last but not least, we are so grateful for the donations of food and beverages provided by and Scala Bakery; the fabulous entertainment provided by Danielle Illario and her fellow musicians, the Highland Society, and Bob Thicke. Door greeters: Valerie Stuermer, Mrs. Judy Faredy and Mrs. Kris Ann Kirby.

This annual tradition is made possible by the community!  We look forward to planning the 2016 Reindeer Lane event and could use your help!  Please consider volunteering!  The look of wonder and excitement on the children’s faces makes it all worthwhile!  Please contact us at reindeerlane.hopewell@gmail,com to sign up for Reindeer Lane next year!   Thank you again and again!

Happy Holidays from the Reindeer Lane Team!
