Home heating oil stolen from storage tank
Officer James Klesney was detailed to a Carter Road address for a theft complaint on November 27. The complainant reported that approximately 180 gallons of home heating oil was stolen from his storage tank between November 11 and November 27. The value of the stolen property was estimated at approximately $1,000. The investigation is ongoing.
Social security scam leads to identity theft
On December 6, Officer Blake Demeter was detailed to a Brigham Way address for a report of an incident of fraud /identity theft. The victim advised they were contacted by the New Jersey Department of Labor regarding a claim for social security benefits. The victim stated their social security number was used to file the claim. The investigation is ongoing.
Burglary and theft at residence on Harbourton Ridge Drive
Officer Vincent Amabile was detailed to a Harbourton Ridge Drive address for a reported burglary/theft of a residence on December 9. The complainant reported that sometime between December 8 and December 9, an unknown individual(s) forcibly entered their residence and stole property. The value of the items removed was approximately $300. Investigation is ongoing.
