Police Investigate Pleasant Valley Road Attempted Homicide

On Sunday, January 19 at 3:49am, Hopewell Township Police officers responded to a Pleasant Valley Road address in response to a 9-1-1 call regarding a disturbance outside a neighbor’s residence and another 9-1-1 call from inside the residence in question. Responding officers arrived moments later and gained control of the scene.

Officers made contact with a male subject on the property outside the residence. The subject was apprehended immediately near a wooded area on the property.

The subject was identified as a Pleasant Valley Road resident. The suspect was charged with Criminal Attempt (Homicide), Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Deadly Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

The victim was identified and transported for further medical attention, and is in stable condition at this time.
