PSE&G work will trigger road closures this week

by Community Contributor

PSE&G is actively working overhead and underground in Hopewell Township. During the week of September 20, 2021, PSE&G crews are working on Pennington Rocky Hill Road between Moores Mills Mt. Rose Road and Cherry Valley Road, completing underground construction.

The work area will be closed to local traffic, however, residents within the work zone will have access to their driveways. All other vehicles will be directed to follow the detours.

Be aware of, and look for, signs indicating road closures and detours in the area:

-PSE&G crews are working on Pennington Hopewell Road between Route 31 and Moores Mill Mt Rose Road. Motorists will be allowed to turn right from Route 31 onto Pennington Hopewell Road. No right turns from Marshall Corner-Woodsville Road.

-PSE&G crews are working on Route 31 (Pennington Road) between Pennington Hopewell Road and Titus Mill Road.  To safely complete this portion of work lane shifts and flaggers will be utilized to direct the flow of traffic.

Please note that the traffic pattern is subject to change based on daily safety and work conditions. Please contact the project hotline at 1-800-606-0045 if you have any questions about the project.
