Rescheduled Hopewell Harvest Fair returns on Saturday!

by Community Contributor

The Harvest Fair returns again to the grounds of Hopewell Elementary School on Saturday October 21 from 10am-4pm. A cherished local tradition, it attracts families from all over the area to enjoy a day of old-fashioned fun, while raising funds for local non-profits. Lead Sponsors of the 2023 Fair are Morehouse Engineering and Lakeland Bank.

Sapphire Amusement sponsors include: Capital Health, BeiGene USA, Hopewell Boro Auto Repair, Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart, TechNeed, and Union Line Garage.

Rescheduled due to rain, the Fair will include:

  • Activities for kids of all ages: Games, Petting Zoo, inflatables, free demos with the Hopewell Fire Department, Hopewell Valley Central High School SPIKE Robotics Club, and more!
  • Old-fashioned country fun: A bake-off, homegrown vegetable displays, a kids’ straw maze to explore, and free country games.
  • Entertainment all day: Great live music all day! Bluegrass, rock-n-roll, country, and more! Visit our website for the complete line-up.
  • Contests for all: Kids’ art and LEGOs, photography, doggie dress-up, costume, homegrown and bake-off. Visit our website for more details and registration. All contests are FREE to enter, and many of them have wonderful prizes!
  • Crafters’ Tent: Explore the work of some of our talented artists from Hopewell Valley and beyond!
  • Farmers’ Market: Flowers and produce from many of our local farms will be for sale.
  • Business Alley & Exhibitors’ Alley Row: A chance to learn more about many local businesses and local non-profit organizations, including those committed to sustainability at “Green Lane.”
  • . . . And much more, including local food vendors and fun demos from local business and non-profits!

The Fair bolsters community spirit during the event as well as throughout the year, by providing scholarships for local students and grants for nonprofit organizations. The Hopewell Harvest Fair Community Grant Program has dispersed more than $225,000 to local nonprofits including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, local school PTOs, HomeFront, WomanSpace, and many others
