The Trenton Eat Local Club has chosen its favorite restaurants of 2016. Open to the public, the club meets twice a month — once for lunch and once for dinner — to support local restaurants, hang out with other interesting people and eat great food. The club is organized by Eric Maywar, a Trenton resident, an economic development specialist for the City of Trenton and owner of Classics Bookstore in Trenton.

And this year’s winners are:

FAVORITE PLACE FOR LUNCH of 2016: 1911 Smoke House Barbeque

FAVORITE PLACE FOR DINNER of 2016: Settimo Cielo

FAVORITE NEW RESTAURANT of 2016: 128 West State Cafe

FAVORITE ESTABLISHED RESTAURANT of 2016: 1911 Smokehouse Barbeque

“Please stop in to these restaurants, congratulate them and try their great food!” said Maywar.
