Upcoming Road Closures on Pennington Rocky Hill Road

by Mary Galioto

Starting on or about Monday September 1, 2015, Mercer County Department of Transportation and Infrastructure will begin milling and resurfacing work on on Pennington-Rocky Hill Road (CR 624) from King George to Elm Ridge Road. Mercer County anticipates that the work will take approximately 10 days, weather permitting.

Construction will occur between the hours of 9am-3pm, weekdays only. During this time, Pennington-Rocky Hill Road will be available to local residents and for emergency access but will be closed to through-traffic. A detour will be posted with westbound motorists directed to turn left onto Elm Ridge Road, right onto Carter Road, right onto Cold Soil Road, right onto Blackwell Road, right onto Federal City Road to Pennington Rocky Hill Road. Eastbound traffic would be directed to follow the same route conversely. The roadway will be open to traffic at all other times.
