Updating our story from yesterday.
Hopewell Township Police have confirmed that the “Hopewell Valley Preserve” noted in the Prosecutor’s press release and reported in MercerMe’s article about the murder there over the weekend is the Friends of Hopewell Valley Open Space Eames Preserve.
Further, the Pennington School has confirmed that the victim, Phillip Urban was a 2022 graduate.
The Pennington School issued the following statement: “We were shocked to learn late on Saturday evening that Phillip Urban was tragically killed in a shooting incident in Hopewell Township that is still under investigation. Phillip spent his junior and senior high school years at Pennington and was a valued member of the school community. He graduated last year and went on to matriculate at Post University in Connecticut.
“Out of respect for Phillip’s family, we will not be commenting further at this time. Our School counselors will be available to our students this week even though Pennington is currently on its Winter Break.”
