To the Editor:
As our nation commemorates the 250th Anniversary of American Independence, Hopewell Township has a unique opportunity to celebrate not only our country’s history but our own important place within it.
On Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, Hopewell Township invites residents, neighbors, and visitors of all ages to join us at Woolsey Park for the Hopewell Township 250th Celebration. This free, family-friendly event will bring our community together for an afternoon of history, entertainment, and hometown pride. (Rain date: Sunday, October 4, 2026).
Attendees can enjoy music, historical exhibits and demonstrations, children’s activities, local vendors, food trucks and alcohol for those 21+, community organizations, and much more. Whether you have lived in Hopewell Township your entire life or are visiting for the first time, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Hopewell Township’s connection to the American Revolution makes this celebration especially meaningful. As communities across the country reflect on 250 years of our nation’s history, we are proud to recognize the role our area played in shaping that story while celebrating the vibrant community we continue to build today.
This is more than just an event—it’s a once-in-a-generation opportunity to come together, celebrate our shared heritage, support local organizations and businesses, and create lasting memories with family, friends, and neighbors.
Admission is free, and everyone is welcome.
