Travel Advisory – NJ Route 29 Southbound possible delays Monday, March 2

The Scudders Falls Bridge Project is reporting that congestion and delays are possible for NJ Route 29 southbound commuters tomorrow.

Commuters approaching the I-295/Route 29 interchange adjacent to the Scudders Falls Toll Bridge 7am to 10am, Monday, March 2 may experience delays. The Route 29 southbound bypass lane will closed and there will be a traffic shift through the interchange’s adjacent service lanes and roundabouts. Motorists are advised to allow extra time to reach their destinations Monday morning as motorists adjust to the new traffic pattern for the first time.

The travel pattern is being tested for one week. If it works as anticipated, it will remain in place for 18 months. Reminder: Vehicles already moving through a roundabout have the right of way; motorists attempting to enter a roundabout must yield to vehicles already moving through a roundabout
