Saturday, May 28, 2016

Hopewell Valley Memorial Day Ceremony, 11:00am. The Ceremony will be held at the Veterans Memorial located at Hopewell Township’s Alliger Park on CR546 next to the Hopewell Township Municipal Complex. Please bring a lawn chair. Lunch will be provided. Hosted by HV Veterans Association.

Lawrence Township Spirit & Patriotic Memorial Day Parade and Services, 10am. This year, the parade will assemble in the Lawrence High School parking lot and will follow Princeton Pike North to Farrah Lane to finish in Lawrence Veterans Park. At the conclusion of the parade, memorial services will be conducted in the park.

Spirit of Princeton Memorial Day Parade, 10am. Begins on Princeton Avenue and Nassau Street, ending with a short ceremony at Princeton Monument Hall.

The 3rd Annual Pork Roll Festival in Trenton’s Mill Hill Park, 10am-9pm. The festival offers a variety of pork roll menu items and other delicious dishes from award-winning food trucks, restaurants, and caterers. The event also features live music and several pork roll-themed contests. Tickets to attend cost $5. (Pssst! The Trenton Pork Roll Festival at Trenton Social is on May 28th this year. Hopewell Borough Memorial Day Parade, 12:30pm – 3:30pm. Enjoy an old-fashioned parade with veterans marching, bands playing, flags waving and fire trucks shining. Line-up is organized at Taylor Terrace and the marching begins at 1pm, moving east on Broad Street. Sponsored by the Hopewell Borough Fire Department.

 

Monday, May 30, 2016

Hamilton Township Yardville-Groveville Memorial Day Parade, 8am. The first and oldest of Hamilton’s parades will take place in the Yardville-Groveville community, traveling from Sunnybrae Boulevard to Broad Street before concluding on Main Street.

Hamilton Township, A second parade of firefighters, police officers, school bands, and veteran organizations will begin at the Mercerville Firehouse and proceed down Nottingham Way to Mercer St. and finish at the Nottingham Firehouse.

Hightstown-East Windsor Memorial Day Parade, 9am. The parade will begin on Stockton Street and Dutch Neck Street and go downtown, finishing with a barbecue at the VFW Post 5700 on Dutch Neck Road.

Pennington Memorial Day Parade, Kids Bike Brigade & Concert, 11am.
Bring the family out to enjoy marching bands, floats and walking groups as the parade begins at the HVRSD Administration Building and ends at The Pennington School tennis courts. Kids can decorate a bike, trike, scooter, stroller or wagon and join the Bike Brigade. The day concludes with a concert starting at 5:30 pm.

West Windsor Township’s Annual Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony, kicks off at 11am from West Windsor-Plainsboro High School, South. Ceremony follows at noon at West Windsor Municipal Complex corner of Clarksville Road and North Post Road. The parade and ceremony is coordinated by the West Windsor Township Council and Mayor in cooperation with the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
