by Community Contributor

The Hopewell Valley Veterans Association will host its annual “An Evening Under the Stars” celebration on Saturday, June 27, at Woolsey Park, 203 Washington Crossing-Pennington Road, Hopewell Township.

The free community event will feature a classic and custom car exhibition, live music, food and a fireworks display.

The schedule includes:

  • 4 p.m. — Classic and custom car exhibit
  • 6 p.m. — Live music by Castle Lane
  • 9:30 p.m. — Fireworks display

Organizers encourage attendees to bring lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of family-friendly entertainment. Food will be available for purchase.

Those participating in the car show must arrive by 3 p.m. for setup. Commercial vehicles will not be permitted in the exhibition.

The event is free to attend, though donations are encouraged to help fund the fireworks display. Organizers note that no tax dollars are used to support the event.

In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will be held on Sunday, June 28.

The event is presented by the Hopewell Valley Veterans Association as part of local celebrations surrounding the nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary.
